In September 2004
Scarborough Law Courts closed down for refurbishment. Temporary Law
Courts were provided across the street. The Law Courts were closed for
68 weeks during which time the building was totally refurbished.
Subcontracted
through Wrights Construction,
H Pickup provided
Mechanical and Electrical Services.
The Heating
Installation compromised of providing 67 new and repositioned
radiators throughout the building. Heating Mains were also routed to
the roof to supply Air Handling Units.
Upgraded Gas
supplies were installed to each boiler along with new Flues.
Existing Ductwork
Systems were stripped out and a complete new system was installed by
S & P Darwells.
Works included a new ducted Ventilation and Air Conditioning System,
Twin System Condensers and a new Air Handling Unit.
Domestic Cold
Water systems were installed and point of use Electric Water Heaters
served Hot Water Outlets.
Andover Controls
modified an existing Control Panel to suit the new M & E Installation.
Electrical
Services include: Complete Mains Distribution, Lighting Installation
and Small Power to the whole building.
Small Power was
also installed to all Specialist Services, Mechanical Services and
Controls
A complete Fire
Alarm System, Disabled Alarm System and FM TV System were included in
the project.
